Cara Paden, MM, MT-BC
Board-Certified Music Therapist
Uncertainty and the unknown may cause you to feel powerless or out of control, left to struggle with your identity or purpose. I want to help you rediscover the power that already exists inside, understand yourself better, and find that spark to give you back your life.
As a Board-Certified Music Therapist, I will use music as a tool to unlock your greatest potential and offer you a chance for healing. Music transforms your brain, unlocks deep memories, and soothes or energizes your emotions. You do not need to know anything about music to be a part of music therapy. All you need to do is try to be open by bringing your whole self.
When you work with me, I will value you as a whole person. Together, we will honor and explore all facets of what makes you YOU: your experiences, your cultural background, and your identities. I utilize a feminist and anti-racist lens within a humanistic and trauma-centered approach. My style is to bring a sense of humor and creativity.
I have served all kinds of people throughout my career including both children and adults within hospitals, schools, and residential settings. I enjoy working with those suffering from anxiety, depression, addiction, or trauma, those struggling with significant life changes, identity crisis, and sexual/gender identity.

You don’t have to go through your life struggles alone.
Getting started with us is simple and straightforward no matter how new or experienced you are on your mental health journey.
